This is Joe and I at the beach in Ocean City in the Summer of 1999. We have many wonderful memories of times spent together at the beach. Sitting on the lifeguard chair watching the stars slowly rise above the ocean at night, personal late night guitar concerts ('In the Still of the Night', 'Do you Want to Dance', etc.) trips to the boardwalk, playing in the water, and playing volleyball. One very special moment from when we had first started dating, was when Joe carved a full sized love seat out of the sand sloping down to the water, and then covered it with a soft blanket. We snuggled up together, ate our picnic dinner and watched the sun go down. Joe comes up with the most unique ideas. When I say unique... I MEAN unique. The first summer at the beach was also the first time that he and I spent together around his extended family. We had only just recently started dating, and I must say, that even though I was nervous, I looked forward to all of the raised eyebrows, and questions that would be asked. -HDP
